Prince Harry opens up during emotional speech alongside Meghan Markle in Nigeria
Prince Harry delivered an emotional speech on the importance of mental health awareness during the first day of the Sussexes’ tour of Nigeria.
The Duke of Sussex spoke to the audience about processing grief and stress.
He said: “There is no shame to be able to acknowledge that today is a bad day.
That you woke up this morning feeling sad, that you left school feeling stressed.
“That you have lost a loved one in your family and you don’t know who to turn to or who to speak to.
“All of these things, you may have been led to believe, are not for conversation.
“We are here to tell you today that is not the case.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrived in Nigeria in the early hours of Friday morning after flying to Abuja from London.
The royal couple boarded an overnight British Airways flight from Heathrow Airport to Nigeria
Meghan and Harry were seated in the first-class section of the plane and were kept apart from other passengers by a curtain, according to the Mail.
The Duke of Sussex spent just two days in London before flying to Abuja.
