The men’s doubles pair of Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram won silver while Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul bagged bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympics for the USA. Several American tennis stars, including Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula, celebrated the achievement.
Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram did not lose a set on their way to the gold medal match against Australia’s Matthew Ebden and John Peers. The Aussie pair followed a similar trajectory.
The USA was on a path to victory as they were a set and break up in the second. However, Australia fought back and won the second set in a tiebreaker. The Aussies managed to win the 10-point match tiebreak as well to bag the gold medal 6-7(6), 7-6(1), [10-8]. The USA settled for silver.
In the bronze medal match, Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul had a more comfortable outing as they defeated Czech Republic’s Adam Pavlásek and Tomas Machac 6-3, 6-4.The achievements of both USA men’s doubles pairs were celebrated by their compatriots. Coco Gauff took to her Instagram Story to post about both medals while Christopher Eubanks posted about Fritz and Paul.
Fritz and Paul posted about their first-ever Olympic medals on Instagram. In the caption for his post, Paul wrote:

Fritz, on the other hand, wrote for his caption:
“Dug our way onto the podium Pumped to pick up a medal at the @olympics and even more special to do it with my brother @tommypaull
Many of the American pair’s compatriots took to the comment section to celebrate the feat. Jessica Pegula wrote:
“Dig then buriedddd”
While Frances Tiafoe wrote:
“medal boyzz”
Gauff, Reilly Opelka, and Prakash Amritraj also commented.
