Coco Gauff loses her shyness as she talks about when she will be seen with ‘mystery boyfriend’ Jalen Sera
The tennis ace has been in a very private relationship that she’s finally ready to confirm.
Coco Gauff continues to grow up as the 20-year-old gets started with the first public relationship of her professional tennis career by announcing her boyfriend will begin to appear at some tournaments within the United States.
The winner of the 2023 US Open and finalist of the 2022 French Open has led a very secretive relationship as she bids to keep her private life private from the watchful eyes of the media and world.
But now it seems like she’s ready to go public with Jalen Sara following speculation from fans that she was dating someone earlier in 2024 after she earlier confirmed the existence of a man in her life.
“My boyfriend, he’ll probably come to maybe some tournaments in the U.S,” Gauff told People.com. “It’s just a little bit easier than coming to Europe.”
Gauff added on if he will be at the Olympics: “I think just right now my mom and dad, because it’s in Paris. It’s far away from home.”
Gauff reveals Sara helps her remain grounded
The demands of professional sport can be very time consuming and demanding when solely focused on training for it, let alone other mandatory commitments such as managing the relationship with fans and media.
But the youngster, at the start of her adult life, has found that her boyfriend can be dependable for helping her remain true to her hobbies and interests as he reminds her to keep in touch with them, although he may not have realized it.
“[The reading challenge] started because I loved reading as a kid and I kind of lost it when I got older,” Gauff said, of reading books. “So, at first, my goal was to read 12 books, one per month.
“Then my boyfriend has this thing where he reads the amount of books as the year we’re in, so 24 in 2024, 23 in 2023.
“So, when he said he was going to read 24, I got super competitive, and I doubled my goal to match his and I like trying to finish faster than him. I’m two books ahead, so I’m winning right now.”
