“It is the best thing in the world to be your sibling” – Coco Gauff & her mother Candi shower brother Codey with heartfelt wishes on his 17th birthday
Coco Gauff showered her brother Codey Gauff with heartfelt wishes on his birthday, which falls on September 21. She was also joined by their mother, Cori Gauff in wishing her sibling as he turned 17 years old.
Codey Gauff is the middle sibling between elder sister Coco Gauff and younger brother Cameron Gauff. A love for sports runs in the Gauff family. Their mother Candi Gauff used to play basketball at Georgia State University, and their father, Corey Gauff, was a track athlete at Florida State University.
Gauff took to Instagram to share a story containing three posts dedicated to her brother on his special day. In one of the posts, World No. 6 shared a collage including a picture of a young Codey Gauff wearing a Black Panther costume and another posing with a fish that he caught. She captioned it:
“He never takes pictures with me so this is all I have.”
In another post, the 20-year-old shared a selfie of herself with her brother and penned a heartfelt note to him.
“Happy Birthday to my brother @codeygauff thank you for making me a sister and it is the best thing in the world for me to be your sibling. I love you and enjoy your born day,” wrote Gauff.
Their mother, Candi Gauff, also took to Instagram to wish her son. She posted a picture of the mother-son duo posing outside Truist Park, Atlanta and captioned it:
“Happy Birthday my sunshine. You are my favorite oldest son. I love you. Continue to be loving, kind, intelligent, humbled and driven. Be great.”
Interestingly, the 2023 US Open champion’s brother is set on a baseball career path. Her youngest brother, 10-year-old Cameron Gauff plays both tennis and football.
