In the accident, two cars under the name of Rice were involved in the crash, a Corvette, and a Lamborghini Urus, one leased, the other one rented. During a press conference, Rice’s attorney Royce West claimed Rice was driving the Lambo in the crash that caused a 6-car collision.
After the accident, all 6 people who were in both vehicles fled the crash site leaving the victims on the road without making sure that help would arrive, this led to a citywide manhunt for those involved.
A dash cam video showed footage of the Lamborghini Urus and Corvette matching vehicles crash leaving multiple victims in the hospital, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Rice admitted his involvement with a message on Instagram, the complete statement read as follows “Today I met with Dallas PD investigators regarding Saturday’s accident. I take full responsibility for my part in this matter and will continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities. I sincerely apologize to everyone impacted in Saturday’s accident.”
