Travis Kelce pulled out all the stops for Patrick Mahomes’ 29th birthday, reportedly spending a jaw-dropping $70,000 on extravagant gifts to show his appreciation for his close friend and teammate.
The two NFL stars have formed an incredible bond since Mahomes was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2017, helping the team win three Super Bowls together. This year, Kelce made sure Mahomes’ birthday was unforgettable by gifting him a selection of luxurious items.
According to The US Sun, Kelce’s impressive gift list included a custom-engraved Rolex watch worth $54,200, with the initials “P” and “M” inscribed on the back, symbolizing their tight friendship.
In addition, Kelce bought Mahomes a $2,300 Louis Vuitton wool cardigan and six bottles of Masseto red wine, each costing $1,100.
Personal touches and elaborate celebrations
Mahomes’ wife, Brittany, reportedly helped Kelce with selecting the Rolex watch and adding the personal engraving, making the gift even more meaningful.
The lavish birthday celebration didn’t end with Kelce’s presents – Brittany threw a memorable party for Mahomes at their home, following the Chiefs’ win over the Bengals.
The event featured an elaborate balloon arch in red, black, and silver, with a giant metallic “29” at the center. Custom cups and beer holders featuring childhood photos of the three-time Super Bowl champion added a sentimental touch to the celebration.
The two NFL stars share a strong bond both on and off the field. Over the summer, Mahomes and Kelce spent time together in Europe, attending a Taylor Swift Eras Tour performance in Amsterdam, accompanied by their partners, Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift.
