How Taylor Swift Subtly Called Out Travis Kelce’s Attendance at Paris Eras Show
During Taylor Swift’s fourth performance of the Eras Tour in Paris, she weaved nods to her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, throughout the evening — marking his first attendance at one of her shows of the European leg.
This Paris concert marked the 87th stop of the Eras tour, a significant number mirrored in Kelce’s jersey for the Kansas City Chiefs — an observation Swift herself acknowledged onstage.
“Can you believe this is our 87th show of the Eras Tour?” Swift said during the concert, with screams coming from the audience as they pieced together exactly who she was referencing.
Swift kicked off her tributes by donning a radiant yellow and red ensemble, mirroring the Chiefs colors, during the 1989 segment of her set, which Kelce has said is his favorite album. Contrastingly, for the previous Paris shows without Kelce, Swift had sported a pink and blue outfit.
For every one of her tours, Swift performs two “surprise songs” that aren’t on her setlist. For this night the Grammy winner performed her new song on The Tortured Poets Department album, “The Alchemy,” replete with football references, as well as “So High School,” which are both tracks that fans have speculated might be an ode to Kelce. During her performance, the pop star blew a kiss to Kelce and also looked at him when singing the line “You already know, babe.”
Swift closed out the show with a modified rendition of “Karma,” swapping the lyric “the guy on the screen” for “the guy on the Chiefs.” As she sang, fans captured Kelce swaying with arms up and smiling at the moment.
Kelce, accompanied by Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Andrea Swift, and Lenny Kravitz, savored the final concert at Paris’ La Défense Arena.
