IT’S OFFICIAL: Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is world’s most expensive music program. Analysts said these three major parts of the Eras Tour make up…
Taylor Swift knows the extreme level of teamwork it takes to make “The Eras Tour” happen, and she’s known for treating her employees well. A catering consultant told The Sun that Swift pays those working on “The Eras Tour” a fair wage and feeds them “five-star” meals.
According to the source, Swift “loves to eat nice food and drinks” and has a “superb” “list of food and beverages” for her staff that includes “five-star choices.” While Swift and her team were in Portugal, she ordered her team Portuguese barbecue (which included 120 chickens) and charcuterie ham, which cost her $5,500. She also ordered 1,000 egg tarts for something sweet, and her team allegedly loved them so much that they requested 200 additional tarts to take on the road.
Swift’s biggest food splurge so far happened in Spain. For $11,500, she ordered legs of Jamon Iberico de Bellota, known as “the world’s most prized ham.” Then, for an additional $20,000, she ordered 440 pounds of paella, which included the highest-quality shrimp, clams, and chorizo. Swift tacked another $7,000 worth of tapas and $2,500 in Spanish cheese for the crew.
With the addition of dessert, fruit, and wine, Swift doled out another $14,000 in Madrid.
“Around $300,000 worth of food, drinks, and catering for her, the team, staff, and the workers have been spent, and it’s completely worth it,” the insider said. “You’ve only got to look at how happy the people that worked in Lisbon and that are working in Madrid are.”
Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” team has excellent feedback about working with the pop star billionaire. She even rewards the truck drivers who carry her equipment. In August 2023, TMZ shared that their sources close to Swift said Swift gave her truck drivers $100,000 bonuses. Before her show, she handed out the bonuses in Santa Clara, California.
According to the sources, Swift had around 50 truck drivers for the U.S. leg of her tour, so she handed out $5 million in bonuses just for the truckers. And that doesn’t include the other legs of her tours in different countries.
In addition to the drivers, Swift reportedly gave “very generous” bonuses to band members, dancers, lighting and sound technicians, and caterers on the tour.
Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” is officially the highest-grossing tour of all time. In the process, she gives back to the community. Swift reportedly donates to food banks during stops on her tour. The Food Bank of the Rockies said Swift’s donation assists in paying for 75,000 meals.
“We are seeing more need now than we ever have before,” said Aditi Desai, the Food Bank of the Rockies Chief Marketing Office, according to Smiley Movement. “This is hitting Food Bank of the Rockies’ budget hard. To meet the needs of our neighbors experiencing hunger, we are spending triple what we were pre-COVID on food purchasing every month.”
Desai added that the food bank has met “increased demand thanks to the generosity of individuals like Taylor Swift.
