Just In: Kansas City Chief Coach Andy Reid has disclosed that Chiefs Travis Kelce will miss remainder of season due to “Elbow fracture” during a light training session. Chiefs Coach Andy Reid stated that “Our TE has been sidelined due to what …”
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes gave high praise to Travis Kelce’s potential replacement after a big performance against the Buffalo Bills.
The Kansas City Chiefs are no longer the NFL’s last remaining undefeated team after they suffered their first loss of the season in Week 11 to the Buffalo Bills, 30-21.
While the Chiefs’ offense did struggle throughout the game, especially Patrick Mahomes, who threw for 196 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions, they did have standout performances from some of their weapons.
One of those performances came from tight end Noah Gray, who had two touchdowns in a single game for the first time in his career. The two scores also tied the most touchdowns the fourth-year tight end has ever had in a season.
Through 10 games, Gray is set to shatter his previous career-best season, which came in 2023. After the big performance, Mahomes spoke about why Gray has been so effective.
“He does everything the right way,” Mahomes said. “He’s learned a ton from (Travis Kelce) and so he knows how to kind of work within the rules of the offense and get himself open. He’s just a guy that’s going to be in the right spot so as a quarterback you know if you’re going to give him the football, he’s going to make the play happen… Those are the guys you want on your team because you know that he’s going to do whatever it takes to win.”
At age 25, Gray has plenty of football left in his career, and with Travis Kelce seemingly beginning to decline in his 12th season, the Chiefs may already have his replacement on the roster.
