Prince Harry and Meghan Markle receive massive £23m boost
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have received a £23million boost after their home in Montecito, California, doubled in value, it has emerged.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex bought the lavish nine-bedroom mansion for £11.8million ($14.7 million) back in 2020 after they moved to the US following their exit from the Royal Family.
But it now costs £23.8million ($29.6million), according to real estate agency Zillow. Its estimate showed that the 18,671-square-foot home saw a 6.2% increase in value over the past 30 days alone.
The house is set to increase in value even more this year as real estate experts suggest Meghan’s new cookery show on Netflix, as well as estimates for California’s median home prices, which are expected to increase by 4.6 % in 2025, will contribute to it.
Charlie Lankston, executive editor at Realtor.com, told Newsweek: “The release of Meghan’s new Netflix series, ‘With Love, Meghan,’ will undoubtedly only increase interest in the couple’s home life – despite the fact that it wasn’t actually filmed inside the couple’s marital mansion, but rather at a borrowed property just a few minutes away.”
