See how Patrick Mahomes threw for 291 yards and three touchdowns before Kareem Hunt pounded into the end zone from two yards out in overtime to give the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs a 30-24 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night.
Following the conclusion of the “Eras Tour” in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Sunday night, Taylor Swift made her way to Kansas City to watch her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and the Chiefs on “Monday Night Football.”
Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made it a close battle, sending the game into overtime after scoring a game-tying touchdown with under 30 seconds remaining in the game. Still, the Chiefs won the overtime coin toss and scored on the first drive of the extra period, securing a 30-24 win.
Kelce, in front of Swift, had one of his better outings of the 2024 season. The 35-year-old recorded season-highs of 14 catches and 100 yards.
According to ESPN’s Benjamin Solek, with these numbers, Kelce has become the first player in NFL history to record 14 or more catches in a game at the age of 35 and up. It’s important to note that this new record is for any position, not just tight ends.
Kelce, in his 11th season with the Chiefs, didn’t necessarily have the best start to the 2024 season, with some fans convinced he was starting to show his age. However, over the last two games, the former Cincinnati Bearcats star has begun to prove that he can still play at a high level, with 24 catches for 190 yards and a score.
As his girlfriend did on Monday night, Kelce was able to support Swift at her Saturday concert in Indiana. Notably, he sat in the same VIP section as Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark to watch Swift play one final show in the United States before the tour moves on to Canada.
Now, Kelce and the Chiefs have moved to 4-0 on the season with Swift in attendance. In total, dating back to Week 3 of 2023 against the Chicago Bears, Kansas City is now 14-3 when Swift cheers on her man in the crowd.
