The Kansas City Chiefs are preparing intensely in their training camp for their NFL preseason games, starting with an away game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on August 10, then they will host the Detroit Lions at Arrowhead Stadium and the Chicago Bears on August 22.

With two seasons in the NFL, Montrelll Washington, has not been able to stand out as expected, Montrelll was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the fifth round of the 2022 Draft. As a rookie he played 15 games and started only one. Although he contributed kick return duties he was waived on August 29, 2023.
Two days later, Washington came to the Kansas City Chiefs signed to the practice squad and was promoted to the active roster in late September. He lasted only a few months and was waived in mid-October. On February 14, 2024, Montrell signed a reserve/future contract with the Kansas City Chiefs and is now suiting up looking for a chance to shine on the field, but in an official NFL game.
In the meantime, the Chiefs’ number 80 made a great catch in training camp, leaving everyone in awe with an unreal one-handed hitch. This motivates him to keep training hard, waiting for his big chance to come out of the shadows and shine with the Chiefs alongside Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.
