Tennis icon Serena Williams shared a humorous anecdote during the Breast Cancer Awareness Month. On 11 October 2024, Williams revealed a funny moment from her health check-up, emphasizing the importance of breast cancer screenings with her signature wit and charm.
October month is dedicated to breast cancer awareness, encouraging women worldwide to prioritize their health and undergo regular screenings. About one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, according to the American Cancer Society.
In her X post, Williams recounted a funny moment during her appointment when her doctor requested she undress from the waist up. Embracing the spirit of the occasion, she humorously added that she also removed her wig.
“It is October which means it is breast cancer awareness month. I am getting my check-up and the doctor asked me to take everything off from the waist up. I also took off my wig #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth #BreastCancerAwareness,” Williams wrote.
