Taylor Swift makes a secret dash to London to watch her close friend Cara Delevingne perform in Cabaret ahead of the UK Eras tour date
Taylor Swift made a secret visit to watch her good friend Cara Delevingne perform in her West End show Cabaret, new pictures shared by the model reveal.
The singer, 34, sent fans into overdrive as she seemingly landed at Edinburgh airport today, ahead of the first concert on the UK leg of her Eras tour.
However, it seems Taylor was actually already in the UK, spending time in London where she watched Cara perform as Sally Bowles in the iconic show.
In a montage of snaps on her social media, Cara shared a photo of herself and Taylor wrapping their arms around each other as they posed in her dressing room.
Taylor showed up to support Taylor near the end of a months-long run in Cabaret, which came to a conclusion on Saturday night.
The pop sensation watched Cara’s performance of Sally, made famous by Liza Minnelli in 1972, on Friday evening at the Kit Kat Club at the Playhouse Theatre.
Taylor’s fanbase – known as Swifties – begans speculating that she had made a trip to London to watch Cara’s show, which was later confirmed by the Kit Kat Club’s head of marketing.
Arthur Jones, confirmed the rumors in a post on X: ‘Taylor Swift?? Was supporting Cara Delevingne?? At Cabaret?? TONIGHT??!!’ one fan asked, to which Jones replied: ‘Can confirm. A special night.’
Cara has now shared a sweet snap from their evening together, as Taylor hung out in her dressing room either before or after the show.
Fans went wild for their reunion and took to the comments section to share their excitement, writing: ‘Ahh TayTay’; ‘You and Taylor mothers’; ‘Legend’; ‘You and Taylor’; ‘Cara and Taylor’; WOWWW CARA TAYLOR BACK’; ‘You and Taylor, such an underrated friendship’.
The two stars have been friends for years and are regularly seen hanging out together, most recently at a Kansas City Chiefs game in Buffalo, New York, where Taylor was supporting her boyfriend Travis Kelce.
Cara previously shared her support for Taylor and Travis, speaking at the Las Vegas Grand Prix last year, saying: ‘I’m so so happy for her. There’s definitely something very different about them. I’m always rooting for my girl.’
Cara first took to the stage on March 11 and her run came to an end this week, as she marked the end of her tenure with a heartfelt post.
Taking to Instagram to share a series of photos, she wrote alongside them:’ Oh Cabaret…. I will never be able to express how I truly feel.
‘I wanted to give myself a few days to grasp the journey I have been through in the last couple of months, but my heart and brain are still buzzing. My world has been completely turned upside down by this experience. I am not sure where I begin and Sally Bowles ends and I am okay with that…
‘This show is unlike anything else and what makes it so special is all the people involved. Thank you for all the support, laughs, tears and memories that I will never forget. I love you.
‘I can definitely say I have been infected with the bug… mothertucker I’m ILL! I need to get back on a stage STAT. Also can someone please tell me if the songs will ever stop playing in a loop in a head?’
It comes as Taylor’s fans speculated she had landed in Scotland after a mysterious private jet landed at Edinburgh airport
The jet has caused fans to speculate that the superstar has arrived a day early for the UK leg of her sell-out Eras tour, with her first performance in the Scottish capital due on Friday evening.
It was snapped landing as 220,000 Swifties prepare to descend on the city’s Murrayfield Stadium for the megastar’s three performances this weekend.
The rumours have been fuelled after BMW X5 security cars with bulletproof glass were spotted near the jet – a car that the superstar has used to get around in before.
But there has been no sighting of Swift so far, and no confirmation if she was on the plane.
However several other theories have also been swirling around the internet with some fans believing she has arrived in Inverness on Wednesday, while others say she has arrived in Glasgow today.
But the theory most popular is that she was on the plane that arrived in Edinburgh Airport this afternoon.
Her last gig was in Lyon, France, on Monday, with fans believing she could have journeyed home for a few days of respite before starting her gruelling UK leg of her tour.
