Jason Kelce appeared to be involved with in altercation at Penn State College on Saturday, after one fan overstepped the mark with a question about his brother Travis and Taylor Swift.
Former NFL star Jason Kelce appeared to a slam a fan’s phone to the floor, after a derogatory question was put to him centring around his brother Travis and his girlfriend Taylor Swift.
The fan appeared to make a vile comment towards the former Philadelphia Eagles star, who was making an appearance on College Gameday on Saturday. The fan seemed to yell: “Kelce! How does it feel that your brother’s a f—— dating Taylor Swift?”.
After that comment was made, Kelce turned around into a large crowd, appeared to grab a phone out of someone’s hand and throw it onto the concrete floor.
He then turned back around and continued walking along the street as hundreds of fans followed him, shouting his name. Kelce was in the area for Penn State’s match-up with Ohio State at the Beaver Stadium.
Earlier in the day, the former Philadelphia Eagles featured alongside Pat McAfee on ESPN’s College Game Day show, where he was left red-faced after missing not one, but two field goal kicks live on TV. Each week McAfee challenges someone to make a kick to win a cash prize.
Kelce was invited onto the show to compete with the prize a $100,000 donation to charity, but he saw both of his efforts fly well wide of the mark. “I suck at kicking,” the 36-year-old claimed after his misses.
Speaking ahead of his trip, Kelce told his brother of his excitement to visit Penn State for the first time on their New Heights Podcast. “I’m officially going to Happy Valley, up to Penn State this week to try and kick.
‘I’ve never been. I’ve never been to Penn State, Happy Valley. I’ve gone fly fishing in the area, but I’ve never been to State College, so I’m excited about this. I’m going to have to toe it.
“You can’t do a soccer-style kick with [Timberlands] on. You’re not getting the proper ankle flexion, so I’m going to have to go Lou Groza. I’m going to have to toe it … The chance this thing goes straight is minimal.”
