“A very fit Patrick Mahomes always translates into a victorious Chiefs team. To stop them this season; you must stop him.”…Bengals QB Joe Burrow
The Kansas City Chiefs are set to enter the 2024 season with a massive target on their backs as back-to-back Super Bowl champions.
Other teams around the AFC are already getting ready to knock the Chiefs from the conference’s top spot but, in a recent interview on Up & Adams, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow made it clear that getting past Patrick Mahomes is always a challenge.
Though Burrow seemed confident in his ability to keep up with the Mahomes and Kansas City’s new-look offense this season, he didn’t mince words in describing the healthy respect he has for the three-time champion.
Though the AFC powerhouse didn’t meet in the playoffs earlier this year, the Bengals and Chiefs are both expected to be among the top teams in their divisions in 2024 and will meet at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 2 of the regular season.
